I was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Tennessee parents and moved back there at the age of 10. “I’ve always enjoyed drawing, but did not become seriously interested in art until my son was in college. After his college loans were paid off (aha!) I applied to one of the top ten art colleges in the nation and surprised everyone, (including myself) by being accepted. Art opened my eyes to a whole new world.”
Linda has one son and three grandchildren with husband Carl. She and her husband now reside in North Carolina.
I work mostly in oils on canvas and canvas panels with palette knife and brush. I paint flowers, vegetables and fruit, nature, animals and people. I have a series of still life featuring flowers, vegetables or fruit. Recently I have been painting a series based on farming and the land. Occasionally I do colorful, abstracted horse paintings
